New Consolidated Transit System in Niagara

Niagara Transit Commission has launched a new consolidated transit system called Niagara Region Transit.

Niagara Region Transit will connect all of Niagara through a single transit system by combining the existing Niagara Region Transit, Niagara Falls Transit, St. Catharines Transit, Welland Transit and Fort Erie Transit systems into one transit operator.

Although riders will not experience any changes to bus routes and schedules as well as OnDemand and specialized transit services, they might see a change in fare prices and technology helping to align transit fares and services across Niagara.

Visit the new Niagara Region Transit website for more information or call 1-833-NRT-LINE (1-833-678-5463)

NRT OnDemand is a ridesharing pilot project for communities in West Niagara.  Residents can book a ride by using the OnDemand Transit App or by calling the customer service number. NRT OnDemand doesn't operate on a fixed route like conventional transit services. It lets riders request trips in real-time through the app or over the phone by selecting a pickup point and destination. The service will take riders anywhere across West Niagara, and to designated transit hubs in St. Catharines, Welland, and Port Colborne.
