Share your Canadian pride with us on July 1! We have a full day of activities planned as we continue to celebrate our nation’s birthday with a virtual experience that will bring our community together – while staying apart.
How it works:
- On July 1, 2020 all activity & video links can be accessed on this page at your leisure or on the suggested times in the "schedule of events" below.
- Virtual shows & performances will be taking place at the following times:
- Canada Day the Niagara Way 11 a.m.
- Canadian Heritage Canada Day Shows
- 1-2 p.m. daytime show
- 8-10 p.m. evening show
Virtual show details on July 1:
"Canada Day the Niagara Way" with the Niagara Region (11 a.m.)
- Join the 12 municipalities of Niagara, the Niagara Parks Commission and the Niagara Region for online activities and festivities for Canada Day.
- Celebrate with performances by Tim Hicks, Avenue Inn, Great Lake Swimmers, Spencer Burton, Juliet Dunn & Peter Shea and Rick Mclean.
"Canada Day Across the Country" with Canadian Heritage (1 - 2 p.m.)
- Oh Canada! On July 1, let’s unite virtually from coast to coast to coast and share our national pride with the Government of Canada!
- Featuring hosts Serena Ryder and Pierre-Yves Lord, discover talented artists, take a virtual tour of the celebrations and many more surprises.
"Canada Day Together" with Canadian Heritage (8 - 10 p.m.)
- The evening show, Canada Day Together, is a very special edition of Canada’s annual iconic celebration
- Let yourself be entertained by great Canadian artists, in the comfort of your home
- Concluding the evening with virtual fireworks
Start celebrating before July 1:
- Decorate your house in red, white & maple leaves then share with us on social media using the hashtag #CanadaDayinLincoln
- Register and take part in the St. John Ambulance Virtual 5K run anytime between from June 27 and July 1. Proceeds from the Run for St. John Ambulance will provide medical supplies and equipment for their community services programs, including Medical First Responders, Search and Rescue Niagara, Therapy Dogs, and Youth Cadets
