<Officiant Announce>

“I would like to welcome you all here today and thank you for sharing in this occasion as we witness the celebration of _____________________ and _____________________ in the unity of marriage. You have come here to share in this formal commitment they make to one another, to offer your love and support to this union. __________________ and _________________ please join hands.”

<Officiant to Applicant. Repeat after me please>

“I do solemnly declare that I do not know of any lawful impediment why I, _________________ may not be joined in matrimony to __________________. I call upon these persons here present to witness that I, _________________, do take you, _______________________, to be my lawful wedded (spouse/partner/wife/husband).”

<Officiant to Joint Applicant. Repeat after me please>

“I do solemnly declare that I do not know of any lawful impediment why I, _________________ may not be joined in matrimony to __________________. I call upon these persons here present to witness that I, _________________, do that you, _______________________, to be my lawful wedded (spouse/partner/wife/husband).”

<Signing of the Register>

“At this time, the wedded parties and their witnesses will sign the Official Marriage Register.”

<Ceremony Conclusion>

“I, ____________________, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Marriage Act of Ontario, do hereby pronounce you _______________ and ______________ to be married.

You may exchange a kiss as a token of your joy.”
