Drop In Monitor
Discover Your Park / Drop-In Monitor (Daytime, Evenings & Weekends)
The Town of Lincoln is looking for responsible individuals to facilitate the Discover Your Park Program and monitor the drop-in recreation programs at the Fleming Centre.
The Discover Your Park Program monitor will implement theme-based programming at rotating park locations throughout the Town. Actions will include leading games, crafts and theme based activities. The Drop-In Monitor is responsible for set up and tear down of equipment used during the programs as well as monitoring the participants and enforcing appropriate behaviour and safety rules. Duties include some administrative tasks such as maintaining statistics. This position assists with special events, as required.
The Successful Candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Current Standard First Aid / CPR C certification;
- High Five Principles of Health Child Development Certificate;
- Experience working with children;
- Valid Police Waiver (for those candidates over the age of 18);
- Planning on returning to school in the Fall of 2022.
This is a part-time position, with shifts mostly in the evenings and weekends. The hourly wage rate is: $14.35
