Public Service Announcement - Keep It Clear Alert in Effect
For Immediate Release
Keep It Clear alert in effect
Lincoln, ON – (March 1, 2018) – A Keep It Clear alert is now in effect advising residents that there is no street parking in Lincoln for the next 72 hours, as more than 10 cm of snow has been forecasted this evening and overnight.
A Keep It Clear alert is declared when the weather forecast is predicting a minimum of 10 cm of snowfall within the next 24 hours. During a Keep It Clear alert staff will be actively monitoring the progress of snow clearing operations and weather conditions to determine if the 72-hour duration can be shortened.
The Town is requesting the co-operation from our residents not to park their vehicles on the street during and immediately following this predicted significant snowfall.
The Town is committed to improving safe passage for residents, visitors and businesses and ensuring roadways are passable for emergency response vehicles. Parking on the street during a winter storm can make it difficult or near impossible to plow a road.
Residents can keep informed about the status of the Keep It Clear notification by visiting the Town’s website at www.lincoln.ca or follow @TownofLincolnON.
If residents have a comment or question about the Town’s winter operations, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 905-563-2799 ext. 234.
