Ontario’s Government commits to West Lincoln Memorial Hospital rebuild

Lincoln, ON – (Nov. 28, 2018) – The Province of Ontario made a commitment to Niagara West health care today. A strong and clear message from Premier Ford, Ministers Elliot and McNaughton, and MPP Oosterhoff that West Lincoln Memorial Hospital site will be rebuilt.

The investment is the result of the Province’s commitment to access to health care at the right time in the right facility, as well as the advocacy by MPP Oosterhoff, local Niagara West Mayors, and the community. Niagara West is now positioned to meet our future health care needs.

In addition to the rebuild announcement, the Province is giving a $500,000 grant to fund early site planning, and an additional $8.5 million to support immediate infrastructure improvements to the existing hospital. As well, all services will remain and not relocated as previously announced.
