Public Notice - Open-air Burning Suspension Lifted

Public Notice: Open-air Burning Suspension Lifted

Effective July 23, 2020, the open-air burning suspension is lifted. Recent rain has made conditions safe to resume open-air burning. Therefore, the ban on open-air burning within the Town of Lincoln has been lifted. Residents may resume open-air burning, but are reminded that all open-air fires must comply with the Town of Lincoln Open-air Fire By-law.

Due to the state of emergency declared in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the issuance of Open-air Fire Permits is suspended while the Town of Lincoln municipal offices remain closed. Until municipal offices re-open, residents may conduct open-air burning without a permit on the condition they follow all rules for safe open-air fires.
