Public Service Announcement: Flags at Town Hall will be lowered to honour those lost to COVID-19

Lincoln, ON - (Jan. 29, 2021) Mayor Sandra Easton has today directed flags at Town Hall to be lowered to half-mast for the entire month of February 2021, to recognize the lives lost due to COVID-19 and to express sympathy to these individuals’ families and friends.

“We are joining our neighbouring municipalities in Niagara in lowering our flags to mourn those who have perished in our community, the region, and across the world due to COVID-19,” said Lincoln Mayor Sandra Easton. “On behalf of Town Council and staff, I urge everyone in Lincoln to do your part to stop the spread of COVID-19 and prevent further deaths by continuing to follow public health directives. They are not a nuisance – they are a necessity and we are truly in this together.”

Earlier this month, the provincial government declared a state of emergency until at least Thursday, February 11, 2021 which include enhanced public health and workplace safety measures in effect for all of Ontario.
