Public Service Announcement: Town of Lincoln continues to accept all approved methods showing proof of vaccination where required, as Province releases app

Lincoln, ON (October 15, 2021) – Today the Province announced that in advance of October 22, its Proof of Vaccination app (Verify Ontario) is now available for download. The enhanced vaccine certificates are available for download in cohorts. Enhanced vaccine certificates with official QR codes will be made available for download from the COVID-19 vaccination portal over three days based on birth month:

  • October 15, 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.: All individuals born between January and April
  • October 16, 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.: All individuals born between May and August
  • October 17, 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.: All individuals born between September to December

The Town is transitioning towards using a QR code reader to verify Proof of Vaccination at Town facilities where required. The Town of Lincoln is committed to ensuring community members can easily access our facilities, and we will continue to accept paper copies of proof of vaccination, alongside proper identification.

Please note that proof of vaccination using the new vaccine certificate with QR code and Verify Ontario app will be the only digital proof of vaccination accepted. Other third-party verifications apps will not be accepted.
