Media Release: Call for applications for Town of Lincoln community group grants

 

Lincoln, ON – (January 19, 2022) - The Town of Lincoln invites eligible community groups to apply for grant funding. The Town offers two opportunities for community groups to apply for funding projects, initiatives, and events. Each funding opportunity has specific criteria that organizations must meet to be eligible. The funds open once per year to accept applications.  
 
“Community groups are instrumental to the health and well-being of our community,” said Town of Lincoln Mayor Sandra Easton. “Community groups and not-for-profit groups bring vibrancy to our community and truly make places and opportunities for residents to connect and belong.”
 
“Thank you to Council’s continued support of this important work,” said Councillor John (JD) Pachereva, Chair of the Community Services and Infrastructure Committee. “These grant opportunities demonstrate a commitment to collaborating with our community groups; it increases the quality of life of residents and allows our community partners to thrive.”
 
“Through this funding, we can support success in our community,” added the Town’s Chief Administrative Officer, Michael Kirkopoulos. “Lincoln is committed to serving our community and achieving our Community’s Vision Statement – A Place to Grow, A Place to Prosper, A Place to Belong.”
 
Review each of the policies & criteria before filling out the applications. 

Whipple Trust Fund Grant program - The Fund is created through the endowment fund of Helen E. Whipple to support community groups developing or maintaining floral programs in Beamsville.

Grow Prosper Belong Fund - The Fund provides community groups with assistance for short-term undertakings to support events, projects, & programs.

 

The deadline to apply is February 11, 2022.

About Whipple Trust Fund Grant Program
The Whipple Trust Fund Grant Program is created through the endowment fund of Helen E. Whipple to support community groups developing or maintaining floral programs in Beamsville.
 
About Grow, Prosper, Belong, Fund
The Grow Prosper Belong Community Fund provides financial assistance for events, projects, and/or programs with an identified start-up and completion date.  The event/project/program will be held in the year the grant is awarded. Project funding allows community groups to be eligible for up to a maximum of 50% of the total costs of the event/project/project.
