Details on the new exhibits

  • Sign of the Thymes: The Rittenhouse School and Gardens

In the late 1800s, schools began teaching children to “learn by doing” instead of memorizing dates and facts from textbooks. The move towards practical learning was a sign of the times—a shift in thinking to keep children interested in nature. Lincoln's Rittenhouse School and Gardens embodied this change and was recognized as having one of Canada’s best school gardening programs.

  • Woodlands & Waterways: Jennifer Elliotson

Immerse yourself in the work of Jennifer Elliotson, a Canadian landscape artist living and working in Niagara’s Wine Country near Jordan, Ontario. Inspired by the beautiful landscape of the Niagara Escarpment, Jennifer Elliotson works to capture a unique viewpoint, lively colours, and playful light.
