Public Service Announcement - Open Air Burning Suspension & Cooling Spaces Available
Open-Air Burning Suspension
Effective July 6, 2020, all open air fires and use of fireworks are prohibited within the Town of Lincoln until further notice due to the extremely dry conditions and lack of precipitation. All issued Open Air Fire Permits are hereby suspended until the open air fire ban is lifted. Campgrounds will be allowed to have small open air fires strictly for the purposes of cooking only.
Open air burning and use of fireworks during these dry conditions increases the risk of the spread of fire and poses as serious threat to the safety of persons and property. Open air fires can spread through dry vegetation with frightening speed. Therefore, if an open air fire is discovered it is very important to immediately dial 9-1-1 to report it. Do not delay reporting the fire while attempting to control or extinguish it.
